13239BRPosting Title:Regional Precision Ag SpecialistJob Posting:CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division within our Farm Supply group. We are looking for a Regional Precision Ag Specialist to work within an assigned territory assisting field staff and the Business Development Specialist to develop a market for YieldPoint, a Precision Ag platform. You must have the ability to influence others, work in cross functional groups, be detail oriented, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


You will:


+ Consult with business units, meet with grower customers and make sound agronomic recommendations to increase overall business with growers.


+ Generate marketing, sales, and promotional programs that will create brand awareness, drive sales, and brand preference at each business unit.


+ Conduct sales and product presentations and training to both internal business partners & staff and external customers.


+ Drive execution and provide ongoing sales and technical support for YieldPoint to both CHS personnel and customers.


+ Conduct grower meetings, outside sales calls / farm visits to identify their needs, understand the local/regional differences and provide recommendations.


+ Meet with and assist local management to develop business plan with profit/loss budget, precision ag goals and strategies, and monitor to ensure goals are met.


+ Keep abreast of market & industry trends, changes, and strategies to accurately answer inquiries and provide recommendations.


+ Become a subject matter expert on the YieldPoint IT platform and other precision agriculture technologies, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.


+ Up to 50% travel is required within assigned region.



Basic Qualifications: (required)


+ Bachelor's degree in Agriculture program (additional years of experience may offset education).


+ 4 plus years of experience in agriculture / agronomic sales, agronomy sales, or precision ag


+ Experience making group presentations


+ Ability to work extended hours to meet business needs


+ Ability to travel up to 50%



Preferred Qualifications: (desired)


+ Experience with small plot work


+ GIS, Remote Sensing, and Prescription Creation
