**Unit Description**


**Sodexo** has an opportunity for a **Food Retail Manager 2** for **Minnesota State University** located in **Moorhead, MN.** MSU/Moorhead is a large state university with a one resident dining hall, two retail locations with several brands as well as catering including weddings.


The campus recently experienced a $9 million dollar renovation of its student union as well as a complete retail renovation project. So its a great and exciting time to be a part of the Dragon family! Moorhead currently enrolls approximately 7800 students with 1500 on mandatory meal plans. Throughout all locations we serve approximately 4200 meals a day. Projected revenue stream is $6.1 million- Board $3.5 million, Retail $1.9 million and Catering $625,000. Our clients' expectations are extremely high in the areas of marketing, catering, innovation, and customer service. This is also a union account.


Moorhead is located on the border on Minnesota and Fargo, ND. A candidate could potentially live in either Moorhead, MN or Fargo, ND. North Dakota was recently ranked #1 for states with most freedom, citing a a very low state income tax and GREAT schools.


Reporting to our General Manager, Food Retail Manager will oversee $1.2 MIL MV. Retail units include Dragon Cafe, Starbucks, Jamba, WOW cafe, Holy Habanero and Sub Connection. Successful candidate will oversee 3 supervisors and up to 40 associates.


**Position Summary**


Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.

Key Duties

- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.

- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.

- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.

- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.

- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.

- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.


**Qualifications & Requirements**


Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
